Asaf Gida d/b/a Cocco Candy of Turkey, KGR Distribution Corporation of New Jersey, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of nearly 150,000 Cocco Candy Rolling Candy products. Much like the Roller Ball Candy that was recalled, the Cocco Candy Rolling Candy has a loose rolling ball inside it, which can dislodge and choke a child.

One child fatality has been reported to the CPSC; a 7-year-old girl in New York fatally choked when the rolling ball became trapped in her throat. If the product had been correctly made and advertised, this tragic death likely would have been prevented. It is important for families who have been struck by such tragedies to demand justice and hold candy manufacturers liable through civil claims and lawsuits.

Candy Dynamics Slime Licker Rolling Liquid Candy Recall

The CPSC recently announced that Candy Dynamics Slime Licker Rolling Liquid Candy has also been recalled for similar issues. The product uses a rolling ball to apply liquid candy for a child to lick, but the rolling applicator ball can come loose and create a significant choking hazard. At least two reports of the rolling ball becoming dislodged have been filed with the CPSC. However, no injuries or fatalities have been connected to Candy Dynamics Slimer Licker Rolling Liquid Candy. The recall is being made out of an abundance of caution.
